Deceived while Shopping
While shopping for a pair of sunglasses on Tuesday, I stumbled my way into Sunglass Hut in the Hulen Mall. You may be wondering why this encounter would have anything to do with the course, but let me explain. As I am browsing the selection, the Sunglass Hut employee was grabbing tons of sunglasses off of the shelf to bring me options. He explained that they are having a sale today where if I buy one pair, I can get another pair for 40% off. In my mind, I knew this was not a new sale. They have been advertising the same deal for years upon years. I was simply there to get one pair and one pair only. When I finally selected my desired pair, the salesman told me that I can “protect” the sunglasses for only $35 which provides a one year warranty in the case that the glasses break. It sounded like a good deal, and I decided to protect my new sunglasses for $35 since I am prone to breaking things.
